I use them mostly to keep duck decoy anchor lines organized when in storage, and they will not last an entire duck season just from the clipping and unclipping. They are pretty cheap, so they do have a place, but just realize that these are basically a disposable clip not made to last very long - and you will need extras for back-up when the springs break.ORIGINAL REVIEW 2019These are light-duty, and you can feel that they are cheaply made and probably won't stand up to much. At the price, though, there are quite a few tasks that these are worth having around for. I keep duck decoy Texas rigs hung on these by the 6 pack or dozen, depending on decoy size. They will hold up decoy rigs for hanging on the wall or the top of a blind. I have used them as a line clip on a kayak anchor, but I wouldn't use these as a long term set up for something like that. As many reviews mention the locking screw doesn't have a stop so it will just screw all the way off, which is very annoying. The locking-screw is just annoying period - especially when you have gloves on. All in all, it's probably about what you expect for the Chinese cheap stuff, but there a lot of handy tasks that don't require expensive heavy-duty carabiners.I bought these snap hook assorted carabiners for various purposes such as key chain replacements, water bottle attachments on my backpacks, etc. They simply do the job well enough and the assorted colors are wonderful so that I can separate them for different needs or functions based on the colors. They are really good daily life tools. I can open and close with one finger only. I have no problems so far and I hope they all will last long enough. Camping, hiking, hanging animal buckets, clipping gates shut, taking groceries in.They have a screw piece that helps keep them closed even with little fingers (kids) and animals.Nice collection, bright colors which helps from loosing them in drawers.Of the 12, one was so out of shape it wouldn’t close, much less “lock.” The more major issue is that the lockers are incredibly loose and will not stop once they get to the point where they lock—they will keep going and screw right off the threads. Because they’re so loose and don’t have a stop, with use they WILL slowly unscrew themselves, faster depending on how active you are. If you use them to clip items onto bags etc. while hiking or similar activities, they are basically no more useful than a regular cheap clip that doesn’t lock. My point is just that you can’t rely on the “locking” part of these clips. They’re poorly designed and made, and definitely not worth the cost. There are lots of other choices on this site, and I’d highly recommend going with one of those.Just wanted some inexpensive clips to hang small items and keys on at my office and for travelling in the field. First one I used busted on day 1, but another clip has been used for my primary keys everyday for 2 months and is holding up pretty well. I guess they are fine for the price?Ordered 4 sets of the non-locking with loop in the bottom (left one in picture). Received 1 set of those and 3 sets of the locking d-shaped that is on the right. Will work for the project I am doing, so not worth hassle of exchanging, but noteworthy if it does matter. They are all the same color witch is important for my project.Because of it's pear shape a little smaller, and difficult to handle. Wish they made this size [2"]in D-ring style. Gate has to be fiddle with, to line up and lock into place. Would look somewhere else if need to purchase item again.I liked the locks on these hooks. I used the hooks in my camper cupboards and the locks helped secure them during travel. Good product. Not super heavy duty
